About the venue

Upper Woodlands is situated in the beautiful English countryside just 4 miles from Glastonbury, the spiritual capital of the UK and is the perfect place to hold a retreat. Lovingly restored over the last 20 years, there are 18 stylish bedrooms (16 of which are en-suite) across the site with 25 separate beds available; a 7 bedroom farmhouse, a 6 bedroom barn conversion, a 3 bedroom barn extension and there are 2 bedrooms available to book in our events building.

All the main accommodation buildings have private hot tubs. Our facilities really set us apart; with a dedicated events building available to dine up to 65 people or as an open space for you to use as you wish with superb kitchen facilities and two consultation rooms. A spa building with an indoor pool, 4 treatment rooms, sauna, pool lounging area, relaxation room and a spacious gym. We are blessed with plenty of space at Upper Woodlands with an outdoor recreational area and 90 acres to explore and roam.

Surrounding Area: The town of Glastonbury draws visitors from all around the world with it's eclectic mix of ancient history and alternative therapies. With Glastonbury Tor majestically overlooking Upper Woodlands and situated on an ancient ley line, the sense of connectivity to your surroundings is guaranteed. The beautiful countryside and numerous walks with outstanding views will leave you breathless and in awe.

Services & Facilities:

Facilities: Central to Upper Woodlands is The Milking Parlour - an events space like no other with the main room able to seat up to 65 guests for dining or available as an open space for approximately 20 guests for Yoga or equivalent. The adjoining Parlour kitchen is designed for caterers but available for all to use and there are two quirky consultation rooms (both ensuite) upstairs which can double up as additional overnight accommodation with comfy sofa beds if required - ideal for staff. The Sedum Spa has a 12 x 5m indoor pool, a sauna, hot tub, 4 treatment rooms (treatments available), a relaxation room (ideal for meditation) and a spacious gym. Exclusivity is ensured at the spa and events space with our booking system to provide the perfect setting for your retreat guests. The Paddock is a well maintained outdoor space if the weather's good and there are some 90 acres of open fields to explore (maps provided).

Spaces

Services: We can recommend a wide range of therapists and service providers for your stay including catering if required, working closely with a concierge company or alternatively you are welcome to bring your own team. For private groups, we can arrange and curate bespoke wellness packages encompassing a number of therapies including breathwork, ice baths, yoga, trips into Glastonbury and much more.

Full Board: The properties on site are all self catering as standard but full catering can easily be arranged with our recommended suppliers including a number of vegan options.
