Wellness Coaching - Do you trust your decisions? The secret behind overthinking our decisions.

ONE SIZE DOES NOT FIT ALL.

“Self-esteem is a personal matter. It is a major issue and impacts directly in our well-being. Do you trust your decisions? The secret hidden behind overthinking our decisions. “

How do we make decisions?

This post is filtered by my own view world and it’s aiming at inspiring you to know your own story and improve your self-esteem by making quality decisions.

What is the definition of “quality decisions”? Those which are aligned with who you want to become in life. So how do we make decisions? Based on our past experiences. Imagine your brain as a huge data base. Our brains stores data in a very special way.

We do not collect memories but how do those memories make us feel when they took place? Let’s put a simple example here. You don’t brush your teeth because they look clean, but the feeling of “clean” and “freshness” is in our bodies. Don’t believe me. Try not to brush your teeth for two days. How does it make you feel? And more importantly, do you miss the act of cleaning your teeth or the sensation after cleaning your teeth?

Have you ever felt like you keep living the same situations all over again?

Away from pain please! You want to move away from pain You want to move closer to pleasure. When our data base is outdated we keep ourselves in a loop of similar situations, so they keep happening all over again.

Are you focusing on being right and avoiding mistakes? Like and value yourself as a person, believe in yourself, and the things you can do, stand up for yourself when under pressure and make decisions without fear of failure.

Be willing to try new or difficult things, move on from mistakes without blaming yourself unfairly, believe you matter and are good enough!

Believe you deserve happiness.

One of the motives to work on your self-esteem that I will point out here today is the correlation between lack of self-esteem and overthinking your decisions. Self-esteem is how you feel about yourself. Why is this important and why you should care about it? Because it will affect many aspects of your life.

We are all still learning

We are all still learning.

Here’s an important question to ask yourself!

How much time do you spend in your head trying to make the perfect decision? And how does it make you feel? It is worth your time to try new things. To fail. To invest in aligning what you want in life with your actions so you stop predicting life and you start LIVING life.

You are trying to control the outcome.

You are trying to control the outcome.

You are trying to control the outcome Hey! It is a good thing to asses risk. 100%. Knowing all your possibilities. 100%. Yet in the meantime you are teaching your brain to stop trusting your gut feelings, to stop you from being spontaneous, to stop you from making mistakes and learning from them.

One of the most powerful things I learned from coaching is the ability to gain clarity. To know when I am not thinking straight and when I have to jump in and take action. Even if that means that I may be wrong.
